Completed 15,000+ assignments which encompass a broad variety of specialized areas including legal, medical, technical and commercial industry requirements.
Received various service recognitions due to assisting the government of New Zealand as the Interpreter / Translator for legal and / or criminal cases. Built a strong professional image and reputation as an excellent service provider, and continue to receive recommendations and services enquiries.
Key assignments in which Ms LI undertook significant responsibilities and had acted for local government parties included:
Contractor as an Interpreter and Translator (Ministry of Justice of NZ, PacTranz Pacific International Translations, and legal firms): active legal interpreter (Mandarin, Cantonese and English languages) and translator (English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese). Appeared as a court appointed interpreter since 2006 in the Auckland High Court, all District Courts in the greater Auckland region as well as District Courts in Hamilton, Whangarei. From 2013, Ms LI undertook over 15 long trial (8-16 weeks) interpreting tasks, have demonstrated wealthy experience in simultaneous interpretation in a court room setting or similar.
Mar 2009—as a principal interpreter on International Sustainable Cities Forum 2009. The forum was held in Auckland, New Zealand, with near 300 attendees, including government officials from Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, Department of Internal Affairs of New Zealand, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Wider Auckland Region, and other mayors from other cities closed by, as well as representatives from Asian and local New Zealand large enterprises;
Late 2008—as the only one on-site interpreter in a commercial project for the transfer of a world-class confidential patent technology;
2008—assigned as the principal interpreter and undertook translation & interpreting audit tasks in several criminal cases involving high-profile cross border syndicate drug smuggling;
Feb to Sep 2008—New Zealand high court interpreter for the largest real estate fraud case in the country;
Sep 2008-Apr 2009—was appointed to be the chief interpreter and translator for an international criminal case involving Police Department and Ministry of Justice of four countries (New Zealand, Australia, USA and China);
Mid 2006—was awarded the title of “The Best Chinese-English Translator” within the Interpreting and Translation Service of Counties Manukau District Health Board. Received numerous positive comments and commendations from clients.
